I brought home a white dierama in bloom from the San Francisco Bot. Garden sale last year. No blooms this year but it's still showing leaves. I've always wondered if zone 10 was a bridge too far for dieramas, and I never see them in bloom here. Your mass planting is fantastic. The only other time I've seen them massed was in a long median planting in a street in SF -- the same way agapanthus are used here in LA. I was floored, to say the least!Denisehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13048985060349929026noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8147326981426320954.post-24881014323563938452016-07-23T08:21:16.459-07:002016-07-23T08:21:16.459-07:00Hi Grace- yes, I have heard that they do not like ...Hi Grace- yes, I have heard that they do not like being crowded. Although I have had a number of this growing very close to them in my new garden, and they have not seemed to be adversely affected. Those things, however, have all been drought tolerant sorts of plants none of which are of the type to have lots of wet foliage which might overshadow the dieramas.Lindahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12939074054298450560noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8147326981426320954.post-33258737783471093372016-07-22T22:19:43.060-07:002016-07-22T22:19:43.060-07:00Great advice, Linda. I'm learning to allow enough space for them and they seem to be responding well. I sure hope that I can soon plant them en mass as you have. They're gorgeous. <br />GRACE PETERSONhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04520343332670354262noreply@blogger.com
